PGA Junior League team makes Final Four at Nationals

Shreveport All-Stars Duke Bowen, Ethan Dial, Eli Hill, Maxwell McDonald, Noah McWilliams, Jack Parsons, Grant Reagan, Brown Snyder, Bennett Wicker, and Nicholas Wright all live in Shreveport or Bossier and train at 265. Like 55,000 other kids nationwide, they set out on a journey with the PGA Jr. League in 2018. In the end, only 120 golfers were invited to the national championship.

The All-Stars went to the Gulf States Sectional Championship in New Orleans in August, where they captured the win and qualified for a September trip to Regionals in Olive Branch, MS. There, they swept the competition from Tennessee and Kentucky 3-0 to win the Region 6 championship. After much practice directed by team captain Shaun Webb, Director of Golf at David Toms Academy, they packed their bags for the national championship, held at Grayhawk Golf Club in Scottsdale November 16 -19.

Competition was fierce, including past champion Team California in our division. After a hard-fought win over Ohio, Team Louisiana captured second place in the Ryder Division and qualified to play for third place against Texas while California defeated Minnesota for the championship. Our team proudly brought home the plaque for fourth place.
