This is the coolest thing in golf I've ever seen. I added 5 mph and 15 yards to my drives! "David Toms"
The latest technology is available at 265! Most systems rely on low resolution approximations of swing data, with algorithmic estimates filling in the gaps. GEARS provides hard data, actually measuring the entire swing as it unfolds. GEARS analyzes over 600 images per swing, in less than a second. Because both the grip and head are tracked, that data provides significant insight into a swing, even including shaft deflection—information that cannot be obtained by tracking the grip alone.
GEARS is an optical (camera-based) tracking system, powered by eight 1.7 megapixel cameras running at 360 frames per second. It offers numerous advantages over other approaches, including:
- Track any club, with snap-on club mounts
- Measurements as fine as 0.2 mm
- No wires attached to the user
- Golf ball detection, for pinpoint impact location information
- Simple system setup
- “Absolute positioning,” with zero drift (unlike inertial systems)
GEARS is a full swing club and body tracking system used by PGA pros, club fitters, and club manufacturers to measure and analyze every nuance of a swing, in full 3D, from address to follow-through. For more info about Gears Golf watch this video or go to their site at gearssports.com.

“Whether you are a beginner golfer or seasoned Pro, there are always things you need to improve in your game. The RoboGolfPro is the only golfing tool of its kind in the world that gives the player instant “hands on” feedback.”Scot W.R. Nei
How Does The RoboGolfPro Work?
Up until now, golfers have had to rely on feedback by an instructor, video analysis, or funny looking swing contraptions. There was no way for a golf instructor to have the ability to record your swing, then make corrections to it in a computer, and finally give you your swing back in the form of a robot-assisted swing. Now your instructor can have the power to record your swing, correct it on a PC using specialized software and then give you back your corrected swing. The RoboGolfPro rebuilds your swing and resists your bad habits, mistakes and tendencies. Your instructor corrects it on the spot and then lets you FEEL the correct swing for you. With a few minutes of practice, each time moving a little faster, you develop new golf swing habits that help your game.
RoboGolfPro Creates New Muscle Memory
If you tend to hook and slice then there is a fundamental part of your swing that needs to be corrected; sometimes the finest of adjustments can make all the difference in the world. The golf ball simply reacts to the face, contact and force of your golf club. If you create a perfect situation when contacting the ball, you will have a great shot. The RoboGolfPro gives you back your new revised swing so that you can feel it. You can practice your swing, but the RoboGolfPro will force you to learn your new and improved swing. It will not let you fall into your old habits. By doing this repetitively on the robot, you will create new Muscle Memory.Without the RoboGolfPro, it takes significantly more practice to achieve the same result simply because you won’t get an instant “Ah-Ha” moment like you do on the RoboGolfPro. You know the moment – the one when suddenly, after many swings, you literally feel the one swing that has perfect contact with the ball, and the ball flies high, straight and far? This happens almost immediately on the RoboGolfPro.
How Does My Instructor Create the Swing on the RoboGolfPro for Me?
The first step is to get your assessment and profile into the RoboGolfPro. It will take a trained RoboGolfPro instructor about 10-15 minutes. Each and every swing, as well as each part of the swing, can be broken down into geometry and physics that the RoboGolfPro can reproduce. The angle you swing the club, Incline Plane, Swing Plane and Angles at your wrists that you set and release as the swing occurs before, during and after contact. There are also important parts of the swing such as height and radius of the swing. Every instructor has their philosophies. The last 5 years of in-depth research in creating and using RoboGolfPro throughout Germany have resulted in a series of basic philosophies that are proven by laws of physics. When a golf club strikes a golf ball in a certain way, there is a predictable and guaranteed result. The golf Pros all agree on these basic essential parts of the golf swing, but how they describe it and how they attain it in relation to your game is personal. Their teaching skills, personalities and experiences determine some of your success. Practice and habit on your end determine the rest.
